Thank you for visiting my blog! I wanted to provide some basic information as well as some context about me and how I have developed my perspectives on travel. Being in the United States, to go a lot of places in a reasonable amount of time requires flying for at least a good portion of any longer journey. I am not a professional traveler or blogger either, but I encounter air travel enough to have learned a thing or two which I believe can be helpful to others.
Growing up in eastern Washington state, my first memories of flying were to Utah to see family; this ended up being a somewhat frequent occurrence, and as a result my mother wisely signed me up for my first frequent flyer membership back in 1994 at the age of 2. I strongly associate the memory of good times on vacation with flight, so even as time has passed the thrill of adventure and travel continues to impact me.
While I primarily fly Delta due to geographical location during my childhood and through the present, I have flown on a host of others and am adding some new players to the list in the near future, including EasyJet and Saudia. You may not see reviews of all of the flights I have taken, either because they were a long time ago or because it would be otherwise redundant. In addition to flights, you will also find reviews about rail travel (Trenitalia Frecciarossa, SNCF InOui and Ouigo, Westbahn, and others coming soon), overviews of public transit systems and networks in notable cities, and airport profiles of those I have flown either to or through. Enjoy!
